Millie churred. "I do know what you mean by that. A few days ago, I was flying through a forest fire and I should have been able to see it while I was on the ground, but I didn't. The flames were getting stronger and I was still finishing my job, but by the time I was ready to leave, I had gotten my tail feathers singed. I knew I should have been careful, that day even my chaw was more careful than me. The way back to the tree my flying was so uneven that some of my chaw members had to stay a bit away from me so they wouldn't get hit." Millie churred again and took a sip of her milkberry tea. It felt so nice to share these things with an owl who did understand.

Siv glanced up from her book. She had been absorbed in the War Cycle, reading about Hot Talon.

looked back up at Millie."I got to go teach a lesson, maybe we can talk over milkberry tea another time." He churred before flying off outside where his chaw ussually meets.

"Good-bye!" Millie hooted. She flew off back to the library to see if that love book was still there.
Millie picked out the book. She sat down and started reading it again. She wanted to have a mate and chicks, but there were no sweet and hansom Barn owls at the Ga'Hoole tree yet. She hoped one might just come to the Ga'Hoole tree and be her mate.

Millie flew in and returned 3 books she had taken out. The rest that had covered her floor were hers from all the books in the back of the room. She knew it was her turn to write her next book, her love life. She had a love life that twisted and turned and made her gizzard flop.

Clyde flew into the library returning a couple of books he had about wars and battles. He noticed Millie in the library also but he needed to learn more, he decided that he has to get to Uncle Rathod who has lots of books about his father and his whole lineage of fierce snowy owl warriors. He wanted to have a a mate, his life seemed incomplete without one. He pushed the thought about mates out of his mind and decided that he needed to get to Uncle Rathod's place and get some books.

Millie turned the page in the book on a love story. This sounded almost like her. She took out the pieces of parchment she had and jotted down some very descriptive word that were used in the book Millie couldn't think about. She shut the book, put away the parchment, and took out another book on Colliering.

Immely flew in and landed near a bookshelf. She took out a book that was about stars that were about in the sky at White Rain time.

Gylfie flew into the library and went to get out a book on astromony. She found one and went to a table to read. The book was called Stars of our Night Sky, what was by the great Strix Emmerilla, though Strix Emmerilla was a weatherstrix.

Striker alighted down in the library. This was his favorite place in the entire tree since when he had first come here it was so amazing. He turned his head around looking for B.B. since he knew he had to have followed him here to the library.

Bartholmaious Barnabas gracefully landed into the vast hollow. His gizzard gave an extra jump at the mere sight of the large quantity of books. Never had he known one place could have so many, he had two books himself, but now that felt like nothing compared to this. "This is one big tree" he said his voice filled with awe.

"Yes it is." Striker nodded. "The library and the dining hollow are the two largest." He walked in and picked off a book on weathering and colliering. "I found this book quite interesting though I don't understand very much, but with the help of Millie I was able to understand it more. She's a very talented young Barn owl." Striker opened up the book to the middle of it to just open it.

B.B showed no interest in the book Striker had set out, colliering was indeed a rare talent and weather, besides rain, an occasional storm there wasn't much else B.B wanted to know. But how this owl spoke of Millie, B.B was begining to have a hard decifering if they were friends or if Striker really liked hurt. As he thought Bartholmaios made his way over to a shelf and searched over the titles until his eyes met a certain book, Ga'Hoolian Translation Of The Others Law. He plucked the book of the shelf and set it on a nearby table.

"What'cha got there, B.B.?" Striker closed the book and put it back on the shelf. He walked over and looked at the book. "Ah." He hooted, but he really didn't have any interest in it. He walked back over to a shelf and looked at the titles of every book, but he found nothing interesting right now.
