"I know you shall be, Clyde, no need to say it. My first mate was a fool to have fallen in love with me and lie to me, but I know you are not a spy for Pure Ones since you're a ryb to the tree. The others won't think we are insane since one of our rybs is a part Barn part Snowy." Millie hooted. Telia slithered up, but pretended she had been in the back. "Any more tea, Mil, Clyde?" Telia slithered up with a tea cup. She had been ready to ask that when she slithered up to them. "No thanks, Telia. I'm fine right now." Millie hooted. "How 'bout you, Clyde?"

Clyde felt grateful that she had said yes." Thank Glaux." Thought Clyde. "Well, I think I'm full so not right now." Hooted Clyde. Clyde was releived that he let out his feeling for Millie."Millie my love, I wanted to ask you something." Clyde hooted. Clyde hoped that she would let him do this."I am going to be going to St.Aggies to check up for any information for about half a moon cycle, If you don;t want me to go I will not." He hooted. Clyde didn't feel like being away from Millie.

"No, no, no. As Guardians of Ga'Hoole we must do our jobs to save the world of owls. You must go out. No need to worry about me, I never hurt myself besides if I do I have my nest-maid snake for now. You must go out to St. Aggies." Millie hooted. Telia slithered away with the tea cup, but was still listening to what they were saying.

"Very well then, I think I need to get some sleep but...I don't want to leave you." Clyde hooted. Clye had been up for the last two nights reading the first book on Sir Prowl his great grandfather and learned his battle strategies and ideas.

Millie shook her head. "You must go get your sleep in your den for now. I'm going to be staying up tonight reading more on the Northern Kingdoms and you need your rest." Millie looked down to see Telia there with her books. "Thank-you, Telia." She dropped the books on the table. "I know you don't want to go, but you must."

"Very Well." Hooted Clyde. Clyde flew out of the hollow thinking."Looks like I won't be getting sleep either, I want to read the next book."

Millie opened a book and put it down so she could see it in the candle light. Her heart pounded hard as she read the first few lines. She nervously tapped her talons on the hollow ground as she read on through the book. It was one of her ancestors she was now reading about, but she didn't know he was that bloody. She shut the book with a nervous thud and quickly walked away to think about what she had just read.

Millie watched as young Sylvia ate her first bug. She was delighted that the nurses that the infirmary let her take the egg. "Oh, Sylvia, you are as beautiful." She hooted. Sylvia looked at Millie. Her eyes showed her curiosity. Millie churred happily. "Welcome to the Great Ga'Hoole tree, Sylvia." Millie repeated once again, but in a quieter voice.

"Sylvia, why not read an easier book?" Millie hooted. Sylvia had opened a book on weather and the movement of fires. She hopped over to where Millie had opened another book, a joke book. She looked down at it and churred at the first joke. "Mum, these are funny." she hooted. Mum, the word struck Millie with so much love she couldn't take her eyes off the sweet chick as she read through the joke book, churring at every joke she read even if she didn't get it.
